JORDAN LEE KING - Jordan Lee King is an Appalachian singer-songwriter from Middlesboro, Kentucky, whose deep Eastern Kentucky roots shape every note and lyric he writes. Raised in the shadow of the Cumberland Gap, he carries on the region’s rich storytelling tradition through raw, heartfelt songs that reflect the realities of life in the mountains. Often compared to legendary writers like John Prine, Guy Clark, Kris Kristofferson, and John R. Miller, King has quickly emerged as a true “songwriter’s songwriter,” known for his ability to turn lived experience, local characters, and personal reflection into powerful, moving music.
His 2024 debut full-length album, By and By, showcases his authentic Appalachian roots sound, blending folk and Americana with deeply personal storytelling. Featuring standout tracks like “Cars & Refrigerators” and “Levi,” the album explores themes of poverty, resilience, family, and the hardships of growing up in southeastern Kentucky. Whether drawing listeners in with humor or heartbreak, King’s songs offer an intimate, unfiltered glimpse into Appalachian life—resonating with locals while giving outsiders a genuine understanding of the region’s spirit. Look for a new album from Jordan Lee King this year.
SHEPHERD HIEB - Raised on red dirt and long white lines, Shepherd Hieb is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter born in a small Tennessee town and shaped by a childhood spent crossing the USA and globe as a military brat. With one boot planted in Southern soil and the other on the gas pedal, his sound roars to life somewhere between hard-driving Southern rock, gritty Americana, outlaw country, and heartland roots rock.
Inspired by the swagger of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the soul of the Allman Brothers Band, the groove of the Marshall Tucker Band, the harmony of the Eagles, and the modern fire of Blackberry Smoke—alongside the faith-fueled energy of Third Day and Audio Adrenaline—Shepherd blends searing guitar riffs with storytelling that hits home.
His songs are built from lived experience: backroad sunsets, blue-collar work ethic, wide-open highways, and the rumble of an engine in a classic Corvette Stingray chasing the horizon. With lyrics rooted in Christian faith, love of the outdoors, and the grit and grace of everyday life, Shepherd Hieb delivers music that’s equal parts raucous adventure, revival, road trip, and real-life testimony.
SHELBY LORE - Up a holler in Eastern Kentucky is where you can find the melting pot that created the sound of Shelby Lore. Take the screaming guitars of southern rock bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, blistering blues from Stevie Ray Vaughan, mix in a little attitude from punk bands like Social Distortion, and finish it off with a heaping mess of honky tonk from Waylon Jennings. Stir all that up and you get the sound of Shelby Lore from Ashland, KY.
BRIT TAYLOR - You’d be hard-pressed to find a country singer with a stronger pedigree than Brit Taylor. Born and raised in Eastern Kentucky right in the middle of a small region that has given us the likes of Loretta Lynn, Keith Whitley, The Judds, and Tyler Childers, Taylor is Appalachian to her bones, and she possesses a deep understanding of the place and its people that well serves her new album, Land of the Forgotten.
Her vocal style is rich and layered, with notes that trill high as a Kentucky warbler and tonal prowess that is able to prowl low and steady. Her childhood singing teacher taught her how to breathe and protect her voice but insisted that she retain the innate character of her voice, which can move effortlessly from high lonesome sounds to smooth ballads to low growls.
JOE CLARK - Joe Clark writes nostalgic songs about life’s highs and lows - music that makes you feel like you're driving on a quiet backroad but is powerful enough to hold a packed venue’s attention. He spent his early years honing his guitar skills and developing the raw Kentucky baritone heard on his debut hit, It Is What It Is.
Recorded while touring venues across the Midwest, Clark’s first two full-length albums, Storyteller and 10 Years Too Late, showcase an artist leaning into his acoustic roots. Word-of-mouth support quickly built him a devoted local following, and in 2024 he earned the Appy Award for Album of the Year. Both records are filled with relatable songwriting that tackles timeless struggles set against modern, often dark realities.
Following a major shift in his personal life, Clark embraced a grittier, riff-driven sound on his 2024 release, HillBilly Voodoo. He later reimagined several earlier songs including It Is What It Is, revealing a talent for blending acoustic country with rock influences.
Clark closed out 2024 with the release of the single Steel Toes and Coveralls in November and was named the 2024 Country/Southern Rock Artist of the Year at the Josie Music Awards. He carried that momentum into early 2025 with One Way or Another, leading up to the release of his highly anticipated album, The Healing, on December 12, 2025. The album marks a new chapter for Clark, who will be taking these songs on the road in 2026.
